Celebrate summer and community with us on Sunday, August 20, 2023!
11am -12pm: Fletcher Free Library, 235 College St. (Main Reading Room)
Dr. Carolyn Finney explores themes of racialized nature and the environment in a talk at the Fletcher Free Library, The Here and Now: Being Black, Dreaming Green & Playing the Long Game.
Finney is the author of Black Faces, White Spaces and an artist-in-residence and the Environmental Studies Professor of Practice in the Franklin Environmental Center at Middlebury College.
The keynote talk will be followed by a Q & A discussion. Coffee and Donuts from Hangry the Donut Bar will be provided.

Celebrate summer at Oakledge park! This event is an opportunity for people from all communities to explore outdoor activities, and aims to support those who have not historically had regular access to outdoor activities and gear.
Join Burlington Park’s Urban Rangers to enjoy the outdoors, find resources and support through gear access, and try fun outdoor activities such as paddle-boarding, birding, and e-biking.
