This April, Burlington Wildways and Burlington Parks Recreation & Waterfront along with local-partner organizations will host the annual Greater Burlington City Nature Celebration!
This is an opportunity to get outside and explore our local urban plants and wildlife with events, speaker series, and a “bioblitz” challenge (the City Nature Challenge)!
The Bioblitz — April 26 to 29 — is a world-wide initiative that invites people to document plants and wildlife in their cities through iNaturalist’s app and website. People are invited to get involved by downloading the iNaturalist app to be part of the Bioblitz: citizen-science reporting project.
This year’s events for City Nature Celebration include speaker sessions, walks, and activities, and culminates with Spectacular Nature Day at the Intervale Center, on April 28 from 10am – 2pm!
The events are free and open to all.
