Specialty Camps With Availability:
Sports
Ages 6-12 | Weekdays 7/15 – 7/19, 9am – 12pm
This camp will help young players improve their hitting, throwing, base running and fielding skills while keeping them moving and excited to play baseball. Great for younger players new to the game and more experienced Little Leaguers.
Champlainship Ultimate Camp – High School Ultimate
Ages 14 – 17 | Weekdays 6/17 – 6/21, 9am – 3pm
This camp is for players coming off of a spring season who want to grow their knowledge and skills. Along with throws, defense, cutting, and Spirit of the Game, Champlainship will teach players to fine-tune field sense and to win the “Battle of the Intangibles”.
Ages 10 – 15 | Weekdays 6/17 – 6/21, 1pm – 4pm
Players will participate in numerous games to develop disc fundamentals and athletic sportsmanship overwinning-at-all-costs. Great for new and experienced players.
Intermediate/Advanced Volleyball Camp
Ages 11 – 18 | Weekdays 6/24 – 6/28, 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Alongside warmups and partner drills, players will learn more advanced skills like positioning on the court, blocking and digging. This is a great opportunity for varsity athletes to get practices in before the school season.
Ages 11 – 15 | Weekdays 6/24 – 6/28, 9am – 12pm
Players will learn essential skills like serving, passing, setting and hitting. Newcomers and those with some basic levels of experience in volleyball (1 – 2 years) are welcome.
Ages 7 – 14 | Weekdays 7/1 – 7/3 & 8/5 – 8/9 (2 Sessions), Full & Half Days
Players will learn both the fundamentals and sophisticated techniques of soccer, on a personalized individual level along with various forms of group instruction.
Ages 4 – 6 | Monday, 7/1 – Wednesday, 7/3, 8:30am – 12pm
Mini Volts will introduce participants to soccer through skill building in various areas such as coordination, flexibility, learning healthy habits, gross motor skills, sportsmanship, and becoming good role models. Children will play fun games and learn the rules of soccer. All participants get a soccer ball and a t-shirt.
Ages 7 – 12 |Weekdays 7/22 – 7/26, 9am – 12pm
This camp will teach participants both the fundamentals and more advanced skills of soccer. Participants will learn through fun and challenging games, reinforcing the idea that youth sports are a ‘developmental zone’ with lessons and skills lasting a lifetime.
Ages 8 – 15 | Weekdays 7/8 – 7/12, 9am – 12pm
Campers will learn and practice all aspects of the game of disc golf, including stretching, putting, driving, approaching, sidearms, backhands, and rollers. Campers will also learn about technique, disc types, etiquette, growth of the sport and Vermont disc golf leagues, clubs and events.
Ages 5 – 14 | Weekdays 7/8 – 7/26 (3 Sessions), 9am – 12pm
Beginner participants in this creative and safe environment will learn skateboard mechanics and basic riding skills such as balance, pushing, turning, stopping, riding transitions and dropping-in. Advanced skaters will have the opportunity to drop in on bigger obstacles/features, and learn more challenging tricks.
Ages 5 – 14 | Weekdays 6/17 – 8/6 (3 Sessions), 9am – 12pm
This camp is geared towards skaters with beginner to intermediate skills. Participants will learn tricks such as pushing, ollieing, dropping in, board slides and grinds.
Ages 6 – 15 | Weekdays 6/17 – 8/16 (7 Sessions), Morning & Afternoon
Beginner and advanced-beginner players will be introduced to tennis skills and learn scoring, strategy, specialized drills and fitness training.
Ages 7 – 14 | Weekdays 7/29 – 8/2 – 9am – 11:30am
Campers will learn the fundamentals of football straight from the NFL playbook while participating in drills and games to help them improve their speed, endurance, and football-specific skills.
Just Kids Multi-Sport Skills Camp
Ages 6 – 12 | Monday 6/24 – Thursday 6/27, 9am – 3pm
This camp emphasizes skill development, character development and nutrition education. Campers can choose daily between basketball, football or soccer, with sport fundamentals introduced and built upon in drills, scrimmages and agility training.
Learning
Ages 6 – 12 | Weekdays 7/8 – 8/9 (4 Sessions), Full Day, Morning & Afternoon
Campers will take part in team chess games, tournaments and puzzles while making new friends and winning prizes. Recess time and snacks will be provided. A great way to improve chess skills and work out your most powerful muscle (your brain)!
Ages 6 – 11 | Weekdays 7/8 – 8/16 (4 Sessions), 9am – 4pm
Wicked Cool for Kids Camps provide STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) based camps for kids and lots of wicked fun! Please register two weeks in advance for each session of Wicked Cool Camps.
Ages 6 – 13 | Weekdays 7/22 – 8/2 (4 Sessions), 9am – 3pm
Let Go Your Mind camps are designed to teach kids confidence and some basic engineering principles. Through STEM builds, children will experience the engineering design process. Campers will encounter obstacles and have to think critically to overcome them with builds.
Outdoor Recreation
Ages 8 – 15 | Weekdays 7/8 – 7/19 (2 Sessions), 1pm – 4pm
Campers will explore Lake Champlain to the fullest from a variety of watercraft, including canoe/kayak excursions out to Lone Rock Point, paddle boarding to North Beach, and sailing adventures around Burlington Bay. Great for adventurers who love to play on the lake but would like to do more than just sail on it.
Ages 5 – 12 | Weekdays 6/24 – 8/9, 8:30am – 12pm
This morning time child-centered camp includes crafts, games and fun projects, as well as nature walks and outdoor exploration of the beautiful grounds of Leddy Park. Camp includes plenty of self-directed play in a calm, nurturing environment.
Ice Skating
Ages 6 – 14 | Weekdays 7/1 – 8/16 (4 Sessions), 12pm – 3pm
Players will practice and improve skating and hockey skills in a supportive and encouraging environment with drills, games, and activities. Participants must be able to skate and provide their own stick, gloves, shin pads, and helmet with facemask. Some hockey playing experience is required.
Ages 3 – 6 | Weekdays 7/1 – 8/16 (3 Sessions), 8am – 2pm
Campers will participate in daily activities including skating lessons, outdoor adventures, crafts, stories and games. Ice skates and helmets provided as needed for no additional charge.

About BPRW Summer Camps
BPRW summer camps provide quality childcare for working families and caregivers, as well as help children develop skills, while staying active and safe during the summer months. Our department offers over 40 Burlington summer camps and clinics over 10 weeks, in locations across the City. Camps are available for children in Pre-K through 12th grade. Choose from camps in our five main program categories: Youth Sports, Movement, Learning, Outdoor Recreation and Ice Skating.
Specialty offerings include LEGO camp, skateboarding, pony camp, chess camp, STEM camps, soccer, tennis, and much more!
Full day, State-Licensed Childcare camps are also available — Champ camp and PAL camp — these camps accept childcare subsidies and include free lunch, snack, and field trips.

When to Enroll
For 2024, Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront is launching a rolling enrollment period for summer camps:
- Burlington Residents can register starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 1
- Non-residents can register starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7
How to enroll
- Click on the link above to explore our programs and enroll directly on Civic Rec.
- Sign into CivicRec with your account info, or create a new account.
- You will need basic information such as your name, children’s names, address and dates of birth. Make sure to list your correct address to confirm resident status.
- Select programs and add to cart. Begin enrolling by clicking checkout!
- After you complete the transaction, check your email and spam/junk folder for receipts and messages.
- Check your receipt for links to program forms and policies.

Scholarships
The City of Burlington is committed to making summer camp affordable for all — Burlington residents are eligible for 50 – 100% off of camp fees with a scholarship.
To request a scholarship: call 802-864-0123, email bprwinfo@burlingtonvt.gov, or stop by the Miller Center, 130 Gosse Court, during open hours.

Refunds
REFUND POLICY: Unless otherwise stated, refunds will be available only until two weeks prior to the first day of a program or activity. A refund will not be given if a participant is dismissed from the program. A $25 administrative fee will be charged for processing the refund. To request a refund two weeks or more before a program starts, please call (802) 864-0123.
