Last Friday, the contractor renovating the softball infield at Smalley Park finished the last of their grading and laid down seed, fertilizer and mulch to replace all the turf damaged by construction. While the infield may look ready for play, BPRW asks that everyone wait to use the field until the grass takes root and we complete some of the finishing touches on the field. BPRW staff will be coming by in the near future to put up string and signage around all of the newly seeded areas, to fill and level some low spots in the outfield, to patch up an eroding embankment near the basketball courts, and to lay an inch of conditioner over the infield.
