A New Community Center in the Old North End
All programs and activities have been temporarily cancelled
The CORE (Center for Recreation and Education) is BPRW’s newest facility, opened in 2017. Located in the Old North End, at the O.N.E. Community Center, the CORE offers a myriad of opportunities for all ages. The facility focuses on providing opportunities for inclusive social spaces, and programming with a variety of partnerships. The CORE offers community spaces, a gymnasium and classrooms to rent for local groups and organizations or individuals.
The Champlain Senior Center, part of the CORE, offers dynamic services, including lunch and classes. Activities such as painting, games and weekly off-site activities are open to individuals 55+. Transportation is available.
The O.N.E. Youth Center, a collaboration between BPRW and AALV (Association of Africans Living in Vermont), provides programming for youth ages 14-24, including recreation, skill building activities and professional development services. Off-site field trips include sports games, college visits and nature programming.
The CORE is thrilled to be part of a vibrant ONE Community Center which is home to Very Merry Theatre, the Hindu Temple Association, AALV, the Family Room, Robin’s Nest Childcare, North End Studios and Vermont Adult Learning.
