Recreation & Nutrition Drop-In Program
For eight weeks each year, from the end of June through the middle of August, Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront offers a FREE Recreation & Nutrition drop-in program every Monday-Friday at several locations in Burlington. This unique program offers children from low-income households in Burlington the opportunity to explore their community in these areas:
Gardening
Participants interact with their local gardens by picking and trying fresh produce and visiting the teaching garden at Starr Farm Park.
Field Trips
Designed to help participants gain a greater sense of community, field trips can include places such as ECHO, Mazza’s berry picking, swimming at North Beach, Shelburne Farms, visiting local parks, and more.
Activities
Activities include arts & crafts, STEM projects, performances, sports, aquatics, music, and nature based learning.

Each day includes organized programming, run by BPRW staff, centered around a meal provided by the Burlington School Food Project. All sites are drop-in and no registration is necessary.
