Celebration at the O.N.E. Community Center

Join our Kick-Off Event to celebrate new youth focused programming at the O.N.E. Community Center!

Burlington Parks, Recreation and Waterfront (BPRW) in conjunction with the Association of Africans Living in Vermont (AALV) are thrilled to announce an upcoming O.N.E. Community Center Kick-Off Event! The new Youth Center is throwing a Kick-Off Event for youth in the community. Activities will include various sports tournaments and clinics, music, and dancing. There will also be food, prizes and giveaways too.

Representatives from community organizations are encouraged to set up a table and network with the youth. We expect 50+ youth and dozens of community leaders and members to attend the event.

Call us to set up a table at the event. Connect with the local youth and spread the word about new opportunities for kids in the “old north end”.

We are also looking for donations from local businesses in form of gift certificates for prizes, items to give away and food for the event guests.

ABOUT THE ONE COMMUNITY CENTER:

The Youth Center is a newly organized program being held at the O.N.E. Community Center.

The goal of the Youth Center is to serve youth ages 14-24, specifically youth of color who have been involved in the criminal justice system. Programs range from recreational to educational to professional development services.
