Branch Out Burlington Tree Walk

Branch Out Burlington! is hosting its yearly Tree Walk again! The first Tree Walk took place in 1999 and Branch Out has done one every year since then. Each walk takes place in a specific area of the city, either a park, neighborhood or other defined area.

Led by City Arborist, Branch Out Burlington! volunteers scour parts of the city for an area with noteworthy trees to feature on each year’s walk.

The walk features 15-20 different trees, some are common species and some are unusual or rare. We discuss tree identification, features of each type of tree, and interesting facts about the habitat, growth pattern and cultural history of that species and/or that particular tree.
