THE HISTORY OF LAKE CHAMPLAIN
Join Gary Decarolis of Burlington History Tours for a presentation on: The History of Lake Champlain. It’s simply amazing! The lake has served as a battleground for centuries for the Iroquois and the Algonquin Nations, the French and Indian War, the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Shipbuilding, sacred grounds, fiefdoms, forts, social experiments, recreation and commerce have all played a role in shaping the history of the 13th largest lake in the United States.
