Please note: Starting on November 8th, MASKS ARE REQUIRED for everyone during youth programs. This applies participants, coaches and spectators. This policy aligns with state and local school regulations. Mask requirements for adult programs and leagues are at the discretion of the organizers, however masks are recommended for all participants regardless of vaccination status.

Youth Basketball League

Grades 1-8

Boys & Girls Club, Hunt Middle School, or Champlain Elementary
$50 Resident / $60 Non-resident

This is a recreational league for boys and girls in grades 1-8. Participants will be assigned to a team by December 11. All teams have a one-hour week day practice and games are played on Saturdays (game times vary between 9am-4pm and there may be travel required for potential away games for grades 3-8.) There are all girl division options for girls in grades 3-4 and 5-6. The first day of the program, called our “Fun Day,” is Saturday, December 4 at child’s HOME SITE – Hunt Middle School, Champlain Elementary School or Boys & Girls Club. Participants please come dressed to play on 12/4 and 12/11 at the times listed below. Fee after December 4 is $60 resident/$70 non-resident and placement on a team is not guaranteed.

VOLUNTEER COACHES ARE NEEDED FOR THIS PROGRAM – Coaching commitment is a one-hour practice and one-hour game per week. Contact Jen Cotton,, if you’re interested. Mandatory background check and concussion training are required. Alpha Youth Sports coaching platform, will provide all coaches with a weekly lesson plan, so you don’t have to plan out your weekly practices.


Itty Bitty Basketball

Ages: 4-6

Parent and child work together to build defensive, dribbling, shooting and passing skills. We will use 8 foot baskets and rookie size basketballs. All participants receive a t-shirt and a basketball.

Softball Pitching Clinics

Ages: 8-18

Leddy Park

Led by pitching expert, Dave Allerton, girls will learn the mechanics of the fast-pitch softball pitching motion. Suitable for beginners and more advanced pitchers too. He will also cover how to warm up for a game and how to throw different pitches. Each pitcher MUST bring their own catcher for the clinic.

Kick the ball! The Soccer Sparks 3-4 year old class is designed to help kids develop their large motor skills and get them running, dribbling, and kicking the ball while having lots of fun. The kids learn the very basics of the game through skill demonstrations and games as they transition from parent assisted to individual participation.

Dribble, kick, and pass! The Soccer Sparks 4-5 year old class is designed to spark an early passion for the game in young players. This class will encourage greater retention of foundational soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting in a positive environment. Our curriculum includes fun and energetic games that teach kids about playing within a group.

Dazzle with your footwork! The Soccer Sparks 6-8 year old class utilizes the “all-ball” approach to foster skill improvement and build player confidence. Players will learn to solidify such skills as dribbling, passing, trapping, receiving, juggling, and accurate shooting in a supportive team environment.
