Unauthorized Art Installation

While we fully appreciate the creative spirit of adding interactive art in our parks, we cannot however allow people to install things in our parks and public spaces without going through the proper channels. Besides being against City ordinances, as stewards of the environment, the attachment of the xylophones and chalk board are injuring trees that are protecting our shoreline from erosion.

We have removed the creations. Please contact our parks superintendent Deryk Roach (802) 540-2544, if you would like them back. Also, in the future, if you want to add art to the parks, come talk to us, we can possibly help develop suitable installation and ensure it won’t be removed! Yes, it’s less spontaneous that way, but it will be no less fun!
