Poetry Walk Opening Celebration

September 12, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for the grand opening event!

This is shaping up to be an amazing event.  Many of the poets to be featured in the Poetry Walk will be present.  Not only is the Poetry Walk featuring the works of Harmony Edosomwan, but her company Harmony’s Kitchen will be catering some delicious eats at the launch. Food is free.  Local artist phenom, Eliza Phillips will be present, and we are working on a community/interactive activity with the mural piece she is creating at the park.  Also, Jake McBride of the Vermont Releaf Collective will be our emcee for the program portion of the event.

Learn more about the poetry Walk and hear the poems!

Parking is very limited! Please let those with accessibility needs use the parking spaces at 311. We recommend walking or biking to the event!

Thanks to our partners! This walk was made possible by the organizing of a collective of individuals and organizations. Special thanks to: the Vermont Releaf Collective, the Fletcher Free Library, the Community Economic and Development Office, the Department of Race, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Burlington Parks, Recreation, and Waterfront Department, At the Root, Roytruth Media, and the ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain.
