Ethan Allen Tower Keypers 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run!

October 9, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

On Sunday, October 9th, The Ethan Allen Tower Keypers, with the support of Burlington Parks Recreation and Waterfront, will host its annual “It’s Just a Run in the Park” 5K and 1-Mile Kids’ Fun Run! The Fun Run will begin at 9 am with the 5K following shortly after at 10 am.

This meandering course will make its way through Ethan Allen Park on paved and unpaved trails! This event is a fun and healthy way for runners to enjoy the beauty of this New North End park in its fall splendor. Take in the crisp fall air as an explosion of colorful foliage crunches under your running shoes! Please park at the Elks Lodge across the street (925 North Ave).

Later that day, head over to Leddy Park Beach Bites to enjoy local food trucks, kids activities, entertainment, free bike valet service, and more! This will be the LAST food truck social event for the season, so don’t miss out!

Where Are the Funds Going?

We are committed to honoring every contribution – big or small – to the upkeep and beautification of Ethan Allen Park. With roughly four miles of preserved trails, this wooded urban refuge offers a historic lookout over Burlington and the Lake Champlain region.

As the eyes and ears of the park, Ethan Allen Tower Keypers utilize contributions as this group shares responsibilities among its members for opening and closing the Ethan Allen Tower. In addition, they assist the Parks and Recreation Department in identifying and executing vital maintenance needs.

Volunteer in Our Parks

Would you or a group you’re affiliated with like to take on a volunteer project at one of Burlington’s parks? We welcome offers from individuals or groups to help weed, rake, pick up trash, police parks, etc. If you have some time and would like to volunteer to help keep our parks beautiful and safe, we would love to hear from you! Visit http://enjoyburlington.com/get-involved/volunteer/ to learn more about volunteering opportunities.

To volunteer please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Dan Cahill at dcahill@burlingtonvt.gov.
