Community Tree Planting

On Saturday April 27^th we are planning a tree planting day in the Strathmore neighborhood. This will be a continuation of the planting that we started last fall to inter-plant the existing ash trees with new tree species in anticipation of the eventual removal of the ash after emerald ash borer moves in. We have marked a total of 110 new planting sites on Cumberland, Edinborough, Muirfield, Nottingham, and Westminster. We will be planting on Saturday the 27^th (rain or shine) and will begin at 8 am at the corner of Cumberland and Edinborough. Residents should expect to see us in the neighborhood a few days prior completing some prep work by removing the sod at the planting sites.

We will bring along a full complement of tools and our crew will be there to help facilitate the planting and instruct people so no experience is necessary. We appreciate your help. It should be a fun and educational experience for everyone who chooses to participate!
