Spring Youth Lacrosse

3/27 – 6/4

Join the fastest growing sport in America today! Burlington Youth Lacrosse, Inc. is fielding 3 boy’s and 3 girl’s teams, this spring, at the 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 grade levels. Practices will be twice a week, starting in the end of March/early April. Games are held once a week, on weekends, boys on Saturdays and girls on Sundays, during the month of May. Emphasis will be on basic stick skills and the fundamentals of lacrosse. The club strives to promote respect, teamwork, and commitment in a positive atmosphere. The coaches will provide final schedules. Burlington Youth Lacrosse, Inc. will offer scholarships for fees and assist with equipment needs. Scholarships will be handled at the time of registration. An additional $25 will be needed to cover lacrosse insurance; parents will need to go to www.uslacrosse.org to acquire this. Youth Track & Field

6/20 – 7/25

The youth track program is designed with two main objectives in mind. First is the enjoyment of sport. This program has consistently provided a platform for kids to develop strong social connections with teammates and coaches that carry on long after the summer ends. The second objective is general athletic growth. Curriculum provides age appropriate instruction centered around developing proper movement mechanics. Technical mastery is delivered in the context of track and field, but transferable to almost any other sport. Fee includes a Burlington Track t-shirt (which is the official team uniform for competition), and registration for two sanctioned, fully-automatic timed track meets.

Fall Soccer

8/27 – 10/15

This popular program is for kids K-6. Teams play one-hour games on Sunday afternoons and have one week day practice. Shin guards are mandatory. Save money by registering by 8/27, and pay only $45 resident/$55 non-resident. Fee after 8/27 is $55/$65 and placement on a team is not guaranteed.  For the kindergarten division a parent or guardian is required to attend all games and practices.  Full Scholarships are available at the Roosevelt Park site. VOLUNTEER COACHES ARE NEEDED FOR THIS PROGRAM. Please contact Jen Cotton, 540-1089, if interested. There will be a coaches clinic during the Fun Day, 8/27 Division III players must be able to commit to the entire season if enrolled in this program.

Girls Little League Softball

4/1 – 6/3

This is a Little League affliliated program.  Teams practice and play games two week nights per week. There also may be weekend games. Schedules will be announced, in mid-April. Transportation to away games is not provided.  Majors and Minors will play most home games at either Leddy Varsity Softball Field and/or Roger Woods Field.  Minis will play home games at Niquette Field. Program begins with a Fun Day on Saturday, 4/1 and ends with a tournament on Saturday, 6/6. VOLUNTEER COACHES ARE NEEDED FOR THIS PROGRAM. Please contact Jen Cotton, 540-1089, if interested.  Mandatory background check is required. NOTE: Girls turning 13 before Dec 31, 2016 are ineligible.
